Lisa Greisen Art
My artistic journey began like many others—drawing and painting as a child. But as I navigated the twists and turns of adolescence into adulthood, I gradually stopped creating just for fun, convinced I lacked the skill or talent to pursue it further. Still, the longing to create never left me, and every now and then, I found small ways to nurture it.
Everything changed when I became a mom. Watching my toddler paint and draw so freely rekindled that creative spark within me. Then one day, I came across an advertisement for a beginner watercolor class—and I was hooked. Years later, my journey continues. Through the classes I’ve attended and taught, I’ve met incredible people, some of whom have become lifelong friends. Art has taught me patience, self-compassion, and the joy of embracing the creative process. Most importantly, I’ve learned to create for the pure enjoyment of it. Watercolor is my favorite medium, but I also love working with pastels, alcohol inks, and Tombow water-soluble markers. I sell original artwork and greeting cards, and I’m passionate about sharing the magic of watercolor through teaching. I offer beginner watercolor classes monthly at Heart J Center for Experiential Learning at Sylvan Dale Ranch, where students create a finished painting in just three hours. I also host small group painting parties and ongoing beginner classes at my home studio in Fort Collins. Nothing brings me more joy than introducing others to the beauty and freedom of watercolor. I’d love to paint with you! |
